Hybrid, 40 hours/wk, Monday-Friday
Flexible days onsite/remote

CONTRACT TERM
1 year with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time employee.

POSITION OVERVIEW – UX/UI Software Engineer- This role is responsible for designing and developing modern, scalable user interfaces that power complex, cloud-native applications. This role blends user-centered design principles with strong front-end and backend engineering expertise to deliver intuitive, high-performance software solutions. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to build responsive UI systems that integrate with distributed microservices, real-time data streams, and edge computing environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and develop userfriendly interfaces for applications. 
  • Conduct user research and testing to improve designs. 
  • Collaborate with teams to implement UI/UX solutions. 
  • Document design activities and prepare detailed reports. 
  • Ensure adherence to UI/UX standards and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, IT, or related field. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to some conferences or to lab onsite
  • Experience in UI/UX design or related roles. 
  • Strong creative and problemsolving skills. 
  • Knowledge of design tools and methodologies.
  • Go, Rust, Python (backend/edge) and HTML, CSS, TypeScript/React or Angular (UI)
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes/K3s, Kafka/NATS/ MQTT, gRPC, PulsarInfluxDB/TimescaleDB, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
