COMPENSATION
$70-$80 per hour. Full benefits can be offered
 
TERMS
6-month contract with possible extension or conversion to full time
 
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday Standard 40 hour work week
 
POSITION OVERVIEW – SAP Materials Specialist – Wind Asset Integration
We are seeking an experienced SAP Specialist to support the integration of newly acquired wind energy sites. This role will be responsible for evaluating existing spare parts inventories, standardizing data, and facilitating the migration and integration of materials into the client’s SAP system.
This individual will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, system alignment, and operational readiness across newly acquired assets. The position requires a blend of hands-on field exposure, SAP expertise, and strong analytical capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Travel to newly acquired wind sites to assess and document existing spare parts inventories
  • Evaluate current parts data and identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplicates, and substitution opportunities
  • Standardize and cleanse data to align with SAP material master requirements
  • Lead the migration and integration of parts data into SAP (MM modules)
  • Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of multiple parts master datasets
  • Utilize advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, data modeling, etc.) to compare and consolidate data
  • Collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and operations teams to validate part usage and requirements
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management and data governance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • 5–7+ years of experience in wind energy, specifically as a maintenance technician, materials coordinator, or buyer supporting wind turbine operations
  • Strong familiarity with OEM equipment such as GE, Siemens Gamesa, Nordex-Acciona (Vestas experience is a plus)
  • Advanced SAP experience, particularly in:
    • MM-LOG (Logistics)
    • MM-PUR (Procurement)
    • Material Master Data Management (critical requirement)
  • High proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and large dataset reconciliation
  • Experience identifying and managing duplicate parts, interchangeable parts, and substitution logic
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams and sites
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting asset acquisitions, integrations, or system migrations
  • Familiarity with data tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar automation/AI tools
  • Background in materials management, supply chain, or asset integrity within renewable energy
 
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
