SCHEDULE
Onsite, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

CONTRACT TERM
12-month contract with a high likelihood of extension/ conversion to full-time employee

POSITION OVERVIEW
The main function of a Product Specialist is to be the subject matter expert on a product through its development, providing technical advice to customers concerning their product. This role maintains a high level of technical knowledge within the client's Dacor Home Appliance and Electronic Products across Sales, Product, and Customer Care departments, and works to enhance service expertise by reviewing and improving service content for products and functions, including the development, preparation, and critical review of technical reports, technical documents, test procedures, user guides, and installation and maintenance manuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze current STG (Service Training Guide) status to determine the extent of missing content for Dacor, including determining which models are missing from STG and checking for content types such as Error Codes, Service Guides, Exploded Views, and Wire Diagrams.
  • Collaborate with the PI Team to add missing models to STG, prioritizing models with high service demand/warranty portion.
  • Review Service & Training Manuals and create content for new models prior to launch.
  • Demonstrate the value of product technology to advance customers' objectives.
  • Provide insight and thought leadership to customers concerning the applicability of highly complex products.
  • Analyze and apply industry, competition, and market knowledge to present the positive value of the company's solutions.
  • Recommend product and service configurations to assist with system design and integration as necessary.
  • Support the development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan, working across departments to execute.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred (or equivalent Home Appliance experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in Engineering, a Technical Field, or Home Appliance field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's own time.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Korean bilingual preferred, though not required.
  • MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
