POSITION OVERVIEW – Machine Operator II (ECM Operator)
This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting Electro-Chemical Machining (ECM) equipment used to produce precision metal components in a high-quality manufacturing environment. The ECM Operator follows detailed operation sheets, charts, and manuals to ensure parts are machined to exact specifications while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. The role involves preparing and dressing electrodes, securing work pieces, and adjusting machine parameters such as voltage, current, feed rates, and electrolyte flow. Operators continuously monitor machining operations, make necessary adjustments, and perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools. Accurate documentation of production status, measurements, and quality data is required using electronic systems. This role also supports production goals by maintaining equipment, assisting with training other operators, and troubleshooting machine, process, or quality issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production targets.
