Core business hours with required flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Inspector will support manufacturing operations by ensuring all machined and assembled components meet strict quality and engineering specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity through detailed inspections, precision measurements, and adherence to quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on manufacturing or mechanical experience who are comfortable working with tools, precision instruments, and technical instructions in a production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect machined and assembled parts to ensure conformance to specifications
- Interpret and follow written inspection instructions, quality requirements, and customer specifications
- Measure dimensions using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, and X-Y-Z measuring equipment
- Perform inspections including first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Conduct airflow testing, incoming inspections, and final product checks
- Identify reference points and measure complex geometries such as angles, arcs, and radii
- Complete inspection reports and documentation accurately
- Utilize inspection tools such as surface plates, gauge blocks, V-blocks, and parallel bars
- Support additional quality or manufacturing-related tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in machine operation, assembly, or equipment maintenance
- Ability to read and follow technical work instructions and documentation
- Comfortable working with tools and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs (with or without accommodation)
- Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, etc.)
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual due to export control regulations)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in manufacturing or quality inspection
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
- Experience working with computerized shop floor systems
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to interpret technical documents
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
- Team-oriented with flexibility to support multiple areas within the shop
