SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday, 40 hours – 2nd shift 
2 PM – 10 PM EST
 
CONTRACT TERM
1 year with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time employee.
 
POSITION OVERVIEW – Manufacturing Operator – Tool Crib Attendant
Under general supervision, will provide general warehouse support including operating equipment within a warehouse environment, replenishing and distributing inventory, picking, packing and shipping of all inbound and outbound shipments, and handling material. The incumbent prepares bills of lading for freight carriers, assists in loading trucks and obtains signatures on shipments. Responsible for counting & recording material to ensure accuracy of shipment and receipt; performs related duties as required.  
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive, store and issue equipment, material, supplies, tools and compile records in stock and tool crib.  Daily processing and delivery of receiver paperwork to Purchasing. 
  • Count, sort incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices.  Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.  Store items in bins, shelves, trays or on floor according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material. 
  • Fill orders or issue supplies.  Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock and tools, including weekly scheduled inventory of brass and stem electrodes, as well as assembly components, such as seals, tubes, etc. 
  • Requisition articles to fill inventories of items. 
  • Mark identifying codes, figures or letters on tools and articles. 
  • Compile reports on use of stock, tools, adjustment of inventory counts, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments. 
  • Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location. 
  • Organization of tools, including identification and storage location, and verification of all tool components.  Tooling must be processed and put away in a timely fashion, and be ready and pulled for use efficiently. 
  • Maintain record of tools and uniforms issued to and returned to workers. 
  • Compile and maintain all necessary paperwork and files in stock room and tool crib. 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • One year experience in a manufacturing environment 
Eligibility Requirements: 
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)). will require proof of status prior to employment. 
  • Physical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting and prolonged periods of sitting or standing. May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to work overtime including occasional weekend shifts 
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
      
Desired Characteristics: 
  • Experience operating power tool equipment including but not limited to cherry picker, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.  
  • Working knowledge of scanning equipment, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts PC  
  • Savvy with working knowledge of MS Office Programs  
  • Demonstrates positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation 
  • Ability to follow written instructions and take verbal instructions for multiple assembly tasks in a manufacturing shop environment. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other staff members. 
  • Able to work with computerized shop floor tools 
  • Excellent organizational skills
