COMPENSATION
 $20.00 – $26.00 per hour
 
SCHEDULE
 Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
 Overtime and occasional weekend shifts may be required based on production demands
 
CONTRACT TERM
 12-month contract (June 22, 2026 – June 21, 2027)
 Potential for extension and long-term opportunity
 
POSITION OVERVIEW
 The CNC Machine Operator I will support manufacturing operations by setting up and operating CNC or ECM/EDM machining equipment to produce precision components according to engineering specifications and manufacturing requirements.
This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on machining experience who are comfortable performing machine setups, operating equipment, conducting inspections, and maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 • Set up and operate CNC or ECM/EDM machines to perform precision machining operations
 • Perform 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining operations including milling, drilling, fast-hole drilling, and graphite shaping
 • Machine metal castings, forgings, and bar stock according to specifications and setup instructions
 • Load, position, and secure workpieces using appropriate material handling equipment
 • Select, install, and maintain tooling required for production operations
 • Verify machine programs and setup requirements at the beginning of each shift
 • Monitor machine controls, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters during operation
 • Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, precision gauges, and measuring instruments
 • Record inspection results and production data within company systems
 • Troubleshoot machining and production issues and communicate concerns to leadership
 • Deburr finished components according to specifications and machining standards
 • Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in proper working condition
 • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 • High School Diploma or GED
 • Minimum 1 year of CNC, ECM, EDM, tooling, or machining experience in a manufacturing environment
 • Experience setting up and operating CNC or ECM/EDM equipment
 • Ability to read and follow manufacturing work instructions and technical documentation
 • Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
 • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
 • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
 • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 • Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining operations
 • CNC setup experience
 • ECM (Electrochemical Machining) experience
 • EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) experience
 • Experience with conventional milling and drilling operations
 • Familiarity with computerized shop floor systems
 • Proficient shop mathematics skills
 • Strong communication and follow-up skills
 • Demonstrated positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
 
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
 • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
 • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
 • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety shoes
 • Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and production equipment
 • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to support production schedules
 
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
 • At least 1 year of hands-on CNC or ECM/EDM machining experience
 • Strong machine setup and operation background
 • Experience with multi-axis machining preferred
 • Comfortable working with precision tools, measurements, and manufacturing documentation
 • Safety-focused with a quality-first mindset
