2nd Shift: Monday – Friday (3:00PM – 11:30PM)

POSITION OVERVIEW – Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist I
The EHS Specialist will provide Environmental, Health, and Safety support for second shift operations at the Findlay site. This role supports the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance. The specialist will work closely with operations teams to conduct inspections, support safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and ensure employees follow established safety practices and protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support for second shift activities at the Findlay site
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and safety inspections
  • Attend daily operational meetings to represent EHS initiatives
  • Provide training on EHS practices, safety procedures, and protocols
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct EHS compliance audits and safety reviews
  • Track and manage EHS items within the GenSuite application
  • Utilize internal and external resources to resolve EHS issues
  • Identify hazards and recommend improvements to maintain a safe work environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (EHS or related field preferred)OR High school diploma or GED with relevant EHS experience and accredited safety training
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and support operational teams in a fast-paced environment
