Hybrid: 2–3 days per week in office; local candidates preferred

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Engineer provides technical project management, technical direction, and coordination of engineering activities for generator and gas turbine-related projects. This role acts as the primary technical liaison between customers, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners to ensure all deliverables meet contract requirements and project objectives. The position plays a key role in influencing both technical and financial outcomes while driving continuous improvement across project execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer inquiries, change requests, and communications related to gas turbine and generator scope
- Coordinate across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Project Management, Global Supply Chain, and field teams
- Lead Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)
- Review contract documentation and communicate requirements to engineering teams
- Evaluate scope changes, support Cost & Cycle Estimates (CCEs), and implement approved change orders
- Drive resolution of cross-functional technical issues and design complexities
- Mitigate engineering schedule risks and take preventative action to avoid delays
- Manage engineering budget and provide Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation teams
- Present project updates, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
- Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement back into engineering teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university OR high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering (generator or related projects preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel (~10%)
