$92-$98 per hour
 
SCHEDULE
Hybrid. Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) 
2 days remote, 3 days in office 
Expected 3 travel days per month to Travel to Providence, RI and Port Jefferson, NY 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW: Senior Category Manager- Vessel Procurement & Operations 
Responsible procurement professional for one or more categories or segments of the Operations and Maintenance division.  The Regional Category Manager is responsible for input to regional category strategy, alignment of procurement operations with their global counterparts, Pipeline and resource planning, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), supply chain intelligence, conducting of formal procurement events (tenders, direct awards, call offs…etc.), contract negotiation and execution and operations stakeholder procurement support and guidance.  
 
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Operating Model – Global & Regional Collaboration
    • Accountable for ensuring feedback loop is established between region and global category team:
      • Provide regional & local Procurement input to global category team 
      • Provide input from global module team to local Procurement team and regional & local stakeholders
  • Category Strategy
    • Responsible for proactively participate, respond and provide input to regional category strategy to ensure that it is aligned with the global category strategy and responsible for implementing and executing the strategy in the region
  • Category Excellence
    • Responsible for providing category excellence support (category excellence compliance)
  • Pipeline and Resources
    • Responsible regional pipeline to global category team
  • Supplier Relationship Management(SRM)
    • Responsible for driving and managing regional & local supplier performance review in accordance with global SRM framework and supplier segmentation
    • Responsible for developing an approved vendor list within the region based on local capabilities and coordinated with GCM
  • Data Transparency
    • Responsible for ensuring transparency on data impacting the region (budgets, spend, cost development and cost split, contracts accessibility) in a standardized way
  • Supply Chain Intelligence
    • Responsible for regional supply chain intelligence (market development and supplier landscapes) and understanding regional supply chain risks and opportunities
  • Vessel Charter Contract Management
    • Responsible for contract management activities related to the Client’s Americas Service Operations Vessels (SOVs), Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) and Jack-Up or Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) chartered for Operations.  Responsible for strategic alignment with the Project and Contractor Management Vessel Manager. 
  • Vessel Charter Sourcing
    • Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and contract execution activities for additional required vessels during Operations. 
  • Apttus and Jaggaer
    • Responsible for ensuring data in Apttus and Jaggaer concerning the region is up to date and in high quality
  • New Markets and Local Content
    • Responsible for ensuring that local content requirements are captured in the category strategy for the region
 
DECISION AUTHORITY  
  • Approval of recommendation (Gate A & Gate D) within the threshold and according to Business unit governance (-OPAM, etc)
  • Approval according to relevant Project / Business Unit Authorization Matrix
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant degree and experience in Supply Chain Management/Business/ Engineering or Maritime Management or Operations or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience in the related industry
  • A minimum of 5 years of Vessel Chartering or Management experience is a plus
  • Able to analyze large amounts of complex information and produce coherent summaries, analyses, options, recommendations and conclusions
  • Stakeholder management
  • Ability of strategic thinking & planning
 
CONTRACT LENGTH
  • 5 month long contract with high likelihood to extend
